During the current recession, angel investors have become even more important. As angels help build innovative companies, we help create jobs and value in our economy. And, there has never been a more important time for angel investors to get ideas from peers and build skills with top professional development programs.
ACA’s 2009 Summit is the largest gathering of angel investing groups in North America. The event is designed for members of angel groups – both leaders and member investors – as a true peer exchange, with valuable information and thought-provoking discussion on best practices in the field and a way to better know your colleagues for future co-investment. The 2008 event attracted 380 attendees from more than 100 angel groups.
The Summit starts on Wednesday, April 15th with an informal reception at 5:30 pm Eastern time and adjourns on Friday, April 17th at 1:30 pm. ACA members interested in attending the annual member meeting should plan to arrive by 4:30 pm on April 15th.
Several pre-Summit programs will also be offered throughout the day on Wednesday, April 15th.

Evening Roundtable: Negotiation & Valuation
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Bingham McCutchen, Boston, MA
Entrepreneurs have always struggled to develop and defend early stage corporate valuations as they seek to raise equity financing. In today's economic environment, where investors are strapped for cash and looking for the lowest risk alternatives, the already difficult task of defending your corporate valuation is nearly impossible. In this new financial world, how do entrepreneurs and investors ever arrive at common ground?
To help answer this question, entrepreneurial Founders, CEOs, CFOs and private investors are welcome at this once-a-year TCN Roundtable where valuation methodologies, metrics, tactics and tips will be discussed by successful entrepreneurs, angels, venture capitalists and industry experts. A case study of a recent successful financing will test your valuation abilities and acumen in real time. This program has challenged (and amused) even the most experienced entrepreneurs and investors over the years. Come and add your voice to the mix, meet other professionals, and most importantly, get the inside perspective you need to develop and defend your company's valuation.
Panelists:
Bard Salmon - Chairman of the Board, Perillon Software
others - TBD
Moderator:
Jerry Kehoe - Partner, Bingham McCutchen
